Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, our programming and exhibitions are always free and open to the public.

We do not allow backpacks in the exhibition space. Bags smaller than backpacks are welcome as long as they are discrete and will not damage the works on display. If you have large bags with you during your visit, please check in with a staff member to discuss alternative storage options upon your arrival.

Strollers are permitted, but in some cases we may advise you to take a stroller-friendly route through the space.

You may bring pencils or charcoal to sketch in the gallery. Please do not use pens, paints, or other materials unless you are attending a dedicated program.

We have an unsupervised coat room on the ground floor of The Gund Gallery. We advise keeping any valuables on your person during your visit.

Yes, we welcome group visits but request that you schedule with us beforehand. Please email your request and any special accommodations or questions to: gundgallery@kenyon.edu

We welcome class visits to both The Gund and The Annex. For a class session at The Gund, please send a note to our Curator of Academic Programs at kovachj@kenyon.edu.


You can also bring your class to our off-campus space, The Annex, for programming and other special events. Please contact our Coordinator of Engagement and Public Programs for The Annex at morgan8@kenyon.edu.

We partner with artists, scholars, and Kenyon academic departments to host guest lectures, performances, screenings, workshops, public programs, and student-led initiatives in collaboration with local and on-campus organizations. The best way to learn about upcoming exhibits and programming is by signing up to receive our newsletter via email. We also update our website and social media regularly.

While many works in our collection are the result of individual donations, only a small percentage of donation offers can be accepted after a rigorous selection process. If you believe you have an item of interest, please send a detailed description, with photos if possible, to gundgallery@kenyon.edu. All works are reviewed in December by our Collections Committee and decisions are made based on the object’s cultural relevance and alignment with the museum’s vision.
